Children in underprivileged urban communities grow in different environments and have different learning requirements. Therefore education has to be customized to suit them for maximum participation and impact.
When Turning Point approached with many types and techniques of teaching methods, we resolved after so much experiments we realized that the existing methods do not do justice to the child from the underprivileged community. This led us to work on a tailor-made curriculum. Teaching is reinforced in the form of art, theatre, story-telling, monthly activities, etc. to ensure complete understanding of concepts. The teaching plan is made in ways where the same subject is taught to the child in all experiential ways possible at a given time.
The child population, we work with do not have a good support system at home. The battle for survival does not let them prioritise education. In such a scenario, the cost of education cannot be an additional burden on the families. Our focus on quality at a reasonable cost supported by extensive use of technology is enabling expansion and is benefitting more children.

For children from disadvantaged backgrounds, getting an education has always been difficult. Children from lower socio-economic classes suffered more as a result of the epidemic because livelihoods were impacted and many families were further driven into poverty.
